Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to creating a scalable, maintainable and usable database environment to support software development efforts and application requirements
  • Contribute to the automation of database change management processes
  • Translate logical data models into a physical database implementation
  • Work in cooperation with the development teams to provide tools to facilitate database testing and data refresh
  • Mentor development teams on the proper methods for efficient data access and modification logic in software systems
  • Support the application of source code management for versioning, impact analysis, testing and promotion of database code
  • Develop a Disaster Recovery Plan to recover from database failure with minimal data loss and downtime
  • Monitor database performance and provide recommendations and resolutions for identified issues for development, test and production environments
  • Maintain the integrity of database environment through change management, automated backups, recovery processes and security audits
