Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA testing efforts for projects during the development and implementation phases
  • Apply structured testing methodology and strategies
  • Ensure the quality of requirements and design specifications
  • Create comprehensive test cases/scripts that are in accordance with business and technical specifications
  • Perform test case reviews with Business Analysts and Development Team
  • Assist with test data identification
  • Plan and schedule test activities to ensure functional, system, integration, and technical specifications
  • Develop and implement process to automate testing using HP UFT, HP ALM or other testing tool.
  • Create defect tickets and track issues to resolution
  • Communicate test results, issues, and risks to project team members, project managers and IT management

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years QA experience testing web-based and/or client/server products including:
  • Excellent test planning and organizational skills
  • Experience in defect tracking
  • Experience with essential SQL scripting
  • Familiarity with corporate/enterprise level relational databases
  • 2+ years of experience in writing test cases from requirements in HP ALM
  • Experience in SOAP/REST API s
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently
