Purpose and Importance of Position
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager in the Project Management Office of our Operations department, this role involves providing detailed business analysis. Work cross-functionally with our business stakeholders across the company, and elicit, analyze, document, and manage business and data user stories and requirements documentation. Work as part of an integrated team to migrate data into target systems such as Guidewire's ClaimCenter.
Essential Functions
  • Coordinates and participates in meetings to gather and document user stories and/ or requirements, business processes and explore simple to moderate system solutions with some supervision. Act as liaison between end users and technical staff. Develop extensive understanding of business requirements and validate that system design meets those requirements and validate that system design meets those requirements.
  • Is assigned to work with the business and sprint teams to ensure support of agile stay 2-3 sprints ahead of scrum team(s) for IT sprint cycles and ensures each feature level deliverable is aligned to a definition of readiness to enter sprint.
  • Documents user acceptance testing or and may assist unit testers so that definition of done for requirements are satisfied
  • Writes, manages, and clarifies user stories and may develop use cases for complex requirements
  • Impact analysis of new releases/changes, training, maintaining systems FAQ in local language
  • Design simple to moderately complex business processes and makes recommendations in order to improve and support business activities. Possess an awareness about the business processes and workings of the insurance company.
  • Analyzes and documents business user stories and/or requirements and processes; constructs data mappings and definitions when target systems are user-based front end applications.
  • Develops functional designs with traceability to user requirements.
  • Some familiarity with wire framing, use case development and/or business process mapping and reengineering.
  • Provides time estimates for project related tasks.
  • Experienced in documenting requirements and work flow using use cases and activity diagrams, also building business process flows.
  • Apply compliance requirements within scope of responsibility, provides documentation and participates in compliance activities as required
  • Prepare and update traceability matrix
  • Responsibilities may also include: Managing and addressing day-to-day ManageEngine Service Desk tickets associated with software applications. Key activities will include working with the business users to prioritize incoming requests and work with the Operations team to plan and execute monthly releases.
