Overview

Working within the Digital Marketing Group, this position is responsible for assisting more senior level team members to plan and manage digital event activities. This includes the execution of live and scheduled digital event experiences, including limited streaming and video editing support. This position will support, train, and manage the interactive components of the event experience. Interactive components may include but are not limited to: moderated QA sessions, event blogs, photo walls, polling, and trivia. Additional responsibilities will be to assist with coordination of pre-event testing, collection and curation of event content, and general Dell Technology Forum support.

The candidate may also be tasked with other general event support activities such as wrap-up reports and collection of event metrics, and working closely with external suppliers and/or internal team members.

Essential Functions

  • Work with management team to plan and execute successful digital event experiences.
  • Work with management, business units, and technical teams to support live digital and/or scheduled event engagements.
  • Help support streaming, encoding, and editing of video content, or photo/graphics support either onsite at events or remotely for content curation.
  • Work synergistically with the internal IT team as adjunct component for most external streams.
  • Responsible for cross functional coordination and execution of interactive event components including: vendor management, testing, implementation, and live event support as necessary.

  • Develop awareness and participate in work streams that align with traditional physical events.
  • Performs other event duties as assigned by management.

Software Skills Required

Microsoft Office experience or general knowledge. (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel.)

  • Previous online video platform, video delivery network, or video CMS experience. (E.g., Brightcove.)
  • Video metadata entry and asset management on a major public platform including YouTube or Facebook Live.
