Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Implement data provisioning, reporting and analytical solutions using Tableau Prep Builder,
Tableau Desktop and Tableau Servers.
2. Providing data in form of TDE and Hyper extracts in Tableau servers using Tableau Prep Builder.
3. Create data flows in Tableau Prep Builder and prepare the data after loading, combining,
shaping, and cleaning data from operational databases
4. Publish, share and run data flows in Tableau server environments using Tableau Prep Conductor.
5. Implement and manage full and incremental data refresh options for the data extracts using
Data Management Add-On capabilities within Tableau Server environments
6. Work closely with visualization and reporting team members in order to design the best solution
for providing the data from normalized operational databases to de-normalized data extracts
using integration and aggregation steps.
7. Create and manage Tableau server environments, both on premises and cloud based, for
sharing and using the data flows securely and intuitively.
8. Support the availability of scalable, reliable, and secure server environments for development, test and production regions for everyone in the organization to work with prepped and up-to-date data.
9. Design and development of Business Analytics and Self-Service reporting solutions for complex
business scenarios using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Servers.
10. Collaborate with users to create and support Tableau data visualization objects and custom
dashboards
11. Analyze and document end-user data needs and data transformation logic, create logical data
models, and partner with the solution architects and data architects in identifying the data
extract needs and building the data extracts from operational databases.

Skills:

  • Strong SQL skills to create complex joins in MS SQL Server Databases
  •  Strong analytical and technical skills in working with data and visualizations
  •  An understanding of business domain data requirements, user task flows, and objectives to
  • create design solutions for visual data delivery and analysis
  •  Strong technical skills to publish, schedule, and refresh (full and incremental) reports, flows,
  • extracts and workbooks using Tableau Server
  •  In-depth experience with Visual Analytics and the ability to create clear Tableau visualizations,
  • charts, and graphs
  • Knowledge of working with Tableau Prep Builder and Tableau Prep Conductor tools
  • Significant experience designing and implementing intuitive, feature-rich Tableau BI interfaces and dashboard
  •  Significant experience in designing and implementing user-friendly and dynamic Tableau
  • dashboards with features such as KPIs and drill functionality, and chart styles like Heat Maps and
  • Scatterplots that best visualize the data
  • Strong experience using Tableau functions, such as calculated fields, parameter controls,
  • hierarchy, groups, sets, dashboard actions, filters, and annotations
  •  Experience managing the BI project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to determining best-
  • fit solutions, and designing and developing prototype
  •  Ability to develop prototypes and wireframes from business requirements to bring simplicity
  • and context to complex designs
