Job Description:

The Senior Software Engineer writes and maintains code within applications and systems to implement capabilities and features, improve performance and maintainability, while reducing technical debt in alignment with product and technology roadmaps. The Senior Software Engineer plays a role in Agile planning, providing advice and guidance, and monitoring emerging trends. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with development teams across the organization to influence a Security Culture and best practices. A successful Software Engineer will help the team to plan and execute the design of the system, promote a culture of learning and experimentation, work within and guide an empowered team as well as mentor team members.- Candidates will have demonstrated experience in Security as Code and Infrastructure as Code as well as be knowledgeable in AWS best practices.--

Requirements:

• Motivating Development teams and Business organizations towards a Security culture.
• Designing and developing an automated framework for Security Tool deployment and development, leveraging various scripting languages and open source solutions.
• Plan, implement, upgrade and monitor security measures related to computer networks and software testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation (AWS, Application Security, Vulnerability Management).
• Work autonomously in an area of specialization to analyze internal security and provide relevant information to internal partners.
• Architect and design API Security, Container Security, AWS Cloud Security and strategies.
• In connection with the above duties, apply knowledge and/or skills of Python and Shell Scripting; cloud technologies and computer forensics; security posture assessment and requirements based hardening; Extensive Appsec, Encryption, Data Protection SOC automation and tool integration experience.
• Work as part of the project and development teams to assure applications are developed in a secure manner.
• Enable project teams to quickly deliver secure applications with the ability to self service.
• Work with stakeholders on reducing the risk level of applications and underlying infrastructure.
• Play a part in automation of security testing and reporting efforts.
• Evaluate applications for appropriate and effective use of security controls using tools and techniques such as source code analysis, vulnerability scanners, and testing techniques.
• Participate in Team on-call rotation schedules.

Expertise and Skills:

• Ability to influence teams in Security culture and mindset
• Thirst for learning and works well in a team environment
• Strong Development background with one or more tools / technologies
• CI/CD - Deployment pipeline experience (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
• Design and develop scalable applications using Java and/or scripting languages such as-Javascript/Node, REACT, Angular, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, etc
• Experience in Relational and Non-Relational databases
• Knowledgeable with-container/orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker, Puppet, etc)
• Cloud Custodian and AWS Deep knowledge
• Strong grasp of AWS security best practices

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• 3+ years of experience developing applications in Python
• Plus would by Python plus Java, JavaScripts, and XML.
• Must be able to influence teams in security culture and mindset.
• Must be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to design and develop scalable applications using Java and/or scripting languages such as-Javascript/Node, REACT, Angular, NodeJS, Python, Ruby, etc (if experience is lacking must be willing to learn)
• Thirst for learning and works well in a team environment

PREFERRED:

• Experience using AWS and AWS security practices.
• Cloud Custodian and AWS Deep knowledge
