Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Palo Alto firewalls both locally and globally. 

  • Manage Linux based firewall and VPN rules using iptables, web and email security appliances, and VPN appliances 

  • Maintain security-related scripts 

  • Assist in troubleshooting problems for security systems, assist other teams in troubleshooting 

  • Stay abreast of current security trends and research and test new security tools 

  • Analyze logs to improve system and network performance, isolate and detect failures, and identify malicious activity 

  • Implement solutions to optimize operations; rapidly respond to failure or degradation of service, and, service/system instability 

  • Assist in maturing network security engineering and maintenance practices 

  • Assist in troubleshooting problems for security systems, assist other teams in troubleshooting 

  • Provide an engineering perspective in solution, system, network, and process design and impleme
  • ntation
