Job Description:

  • Hands on experience in Hadoop - Spark, Hive, HDFS, Scala, Unix shell scripting 
  • Strong SQL skills 
  • Experience in designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting Big Data Clusters Spark/Kafka 
  • Design Implementing ETL process for integration of data from disparate sources 
  • Cloud Experience is a plus 
  • Good knowledge of database structures, theories, principles and practices 
  • Read, extract, transform, stage and load data to multiple targets, including Hadoop and other databases Translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed design. 
  • Migrate existing data processing from standalone or legacy technology scripts to Hadoop framework processing. 
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to work independently and on multiple tasks/initiatives with multiple deadlines 
  • Effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills 
  • Experience on Insurance industry is a plus 
  • Big Data certification is a plus
