Essential Functions:

  • Experienced software developer role that emphasizes professional engagement and application of technical ability to solve business challenges.
  • Analyzing and clarifying vague or unclear requirements.
  • Applying engineering ability to identify and solve business problems with software solutions.
  • Asserting ownership of software systems and business processes.
  • Building high performance, highly available, horizontally scalable, fault tolerant, self-healing, service-oriented backend data processing components.
  • Communicating status of tasks in progress.
  • Contributing technical documentation in the form of code comments, wiki articles, ticket notes, design documents, schematics, and entity diagrams.
  • Designing and implementing web-based user interfaces that are fast, intuitive, and empowering for users.
  • Directly collaborating with team members and business owners to define challenges, identify opportunities, and propose solutions.
  • Driving assigned tasks to completion.
  • Following Ambit processes and conventions with respect to coding standards, design approaches, and software development lifecycle processes.
  • Independently implementing prescribed solutions with minimal or no oversight.
  • Monitoring the health of production systems and rapidly responding to defects and outages.
  • Professionally managing expectations of team members and business owners.
  • Supporting inquiries for technical information.
  • Testing new code, developing automated tests, and providing test guidance to the QA team.
  • Full time physical attendance is an essential function of the job.
