-Complete layered quality audits and inspections on products and manufacturing processes.
-Develop and update quality procedures and control plans for raw materials, intermediates and finished products consistent with international standards, customer requirements and UOP Engineering Standards.
-Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality visual management boards, 5S, and standard work.
-Train operators on the proper use of measurement and test equipment, how to complete quality forms, and how to perform effective root cause analysis.
-Be an active member of site cross-functional CAPA & 8D problem solving teams.
-Work directly with manufacturing associates to drive problems to root cause and lead customer complaint resolution process.
-Generate Certificates of Conformance for customers and validate supplier documentation for compliance.
-Coordinate calibration of factory and lab instrumentation.
-Perform statistical analyses on manufacturing and testing data to identify trends and opportunities, conduct gage repeatability and reproducibility studies, and design experiments to eliminate process variation.
-Encourage employee involvement in Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) activities, and ensure compliance to security policies and good housekeeping practices.
-Operate test equipment and oversee operations of the manufacturing laboratory.
-Drive cost savings, cycle time reduction, and productivity improvements across QC/QA processes.
-Directly supervise 1-2 hourly quality associates and perform other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
