Job Description

Position Overview
Maintains the organization's IT infrastructure, which may include hardware, software, servers, storage solutions, and networks in a cloud infrastructure as well as physical facilities. Configures, installs, maintains, and provides support for critical software and hardware components. Monitors system availability and troubleshoots and resolves connectivity interruptions. Measures and improves performance and scalability. Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to others involved in the maintenance of the company infrastructure and network.

Essential Duties
System Maintenance Assure day-to-day reliability of corporate computer network systems. Perform routine maintenance as appropriate, minimizing disruptions to other employees. Perform minor repairs as needed. For major repairs consult with supervisor to determine best course of action. Assure that backups are done on a regular basis. Upgrade hardware and software components as required. Monitor and report licenses on applications to ensure compliance on a monthly basis.

System Support Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary. Become proficient in all corporate systems to provide assistance to all users and level one technician. Keep up-to-date contact list for vendors to more efficiently resolve issues that arise. Monitor all systems to assure that the network is running efficiently, and that network, firewall, cloud, and virus systems are functioning properly.

New Technology - Remain abreast of industry advances, on the hardware, software and overall systems levels. Prepare and present to supervisor any ideas for improving operations. Work on improving skills with the most common applications. Reviews progress and evaluates results.

Desktop Applications Assistance Assist in providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by users. Provide assistance to computer users with various applications including needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources. Install new software applications or hardware on the LAN, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary. General Complete any additional tasks as required and assigned by the Supervisor
Required knowledge, skills and abilities
7-10 years relevant network experience
Clear and effective written, verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure AD, Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing and VMware
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities
Bachelor s degree in IT or a related field
Working knowledge of Networking Equipment (Cisco, Fortinet, etc)
Additional requirements
