Responsibilities :

  • Establish relationships with and elicit requirements from business and technical stakeholders
  • Review, analyze, validate, and communicate requirements throughout system implemenation lifecycle
  • Document business processes in a manner that facilitates long term maintenance, business process automation, and process improvement
  • Coordinate with other project team members to ensure and verify successful implemenation of requirements
  • Collaborate with Contractor Business Analyst and other members of Contractor team
  • Assist in planning of and participate in User Acceptance Testing
  • Aid in design and delivery of system training
  • Follow client IT business analysis processes

The LIMS Business Analyst will coordinate with the CIO, project manager, and project stakeholders to:

  • Review existing project documentation as described including high level requirements and process workflows ("As-Is" and "To-Be")
  • Draft, refine, and maintain documented business requirements, system (functional and non-functional) requirements, and report specifications
  • Draft, refine, and maintain Use Cases as needed
  • Identify and communicate system implementation risks and mitigation strategies, issues, and process improvement opportunities to appropriate project team members and other stakeholders
  • Work with project management to understand the business strategy, goals, and objectives to ensure successful system implementation
  • Work with the software quality assurance analyst in development of test plans and test cases

LIMS is an enterprise software solution based primarily on the Trimble Forestry Land Resource Manager software platform.

Experience: Two plus years of experience

Education: Four (4) year college degree or equivalent technical study

Skills and knowledge :

  • Expertise in business analysis within enterprise software implementation projects
  • Basic working knowledge of land management/natural resource terminology and concepts preferred
  • Basic working knowledge of enterprise GIS (preferably ESRI-based)
  • Basic working knowledge of enterprise system integration concepts
  • Basic working knowledge of data migration concepts
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic working knowledge of forestry terminology and concepts preferred
  • Some travel is required
