Job Description

Job Responsibilities 

Obtain an overall understanding of UCV 

Partner with the Product Owner on requirements and brainstorm implementation options 

Participate in planning session to determine technical designs and estimates 

Develop and deliver solutions using Big Data/Hadoop tools and technologies 

Collaborate effectively with other teams (internal and external) in a very dynamic agile environment 

Learn new tools and implement continuous improvements in support of the Products strategic vision 

Job Qualifications 

3 to 5 years of experience working on the Hadoop platform 

Strong development experience Scala & SPARK 

Expertise managing large datasets 

Strong SQL and UNIX scripting skills. 

Experience in working with Solr 

Experience working in an Agile delivery model 

Strong planning and organizational skills 

Good working knowledge of Java 

Experience with Github, Artifactory 

Good communication skills 

Ability to work in a high-paced team environment 

Desirable Criteria 

Experience in working with IBM BigMatch 

Experience with IntelliJ 

Experience with Mongo 

Experience with Cloudera and Hortonworks data platforms 

Experience working on AWS
