As a Data Engineer of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You will be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.
 
What you will be doing:
  • Be part of a core build team responsible for accelerating the delivery of new data management strategies.
  • Work with the global Banking technology team to understand existing data management system.
  • As member of the global Big Data team, build new components and help decommissioning legacy system.
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree or specialized training or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout the firm to accomplish common goals.
  • Advanced technical expertise with Informatica, Oracle database, SQL scripting. Ability to write and optimize SQL code.
  • Experience with Big Data Hadoop ecosystem - HDFS, Kafka, Spark and any NoSQL database.
  • Demonstrated ability to build processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
  • Experience with Shell scripting, Java/Python and Linux environment.
  • Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement.
  • Proficient in problem solving and software design.
  • Self-driven and self-motivated to drive excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Finance domain knowledge will be a plus.
