Job Description

Skills & Qualifications: 

-Bachelor-s or Master-s degree in related field-5+ years of associated work experience-Applied experience with Microsoft Office and Project Management Tools (e.g., Team -Foundation Server, JIRA)-Proficient technical writing skills-Basic SQL database knowledge-Experience in user testing and project management-Experience with Agile Development process-Strong analytical and problem solving abilities-Commercial Real Estate knowledge a plus 


About the Role: 


The mission of the Business Analyst, in partnership with the Product Design Group and Product Development, is to successfully build analytic information tools, reports, and applications for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) market. We are searching for an experienced Business Analyst who can gather important company data and compile it into specifications that our teams can use to build world-class Analytic products. Should have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that will be consumed by various development teams. Candidates should be able to analyze and solve issues that arise from customers and internal users regarding all aspects of CoStar Analytics. 


Responsibilities include: 

-Understanding the CoStar business, the goals of our products, and collaborating with Product Development and Design in the creation of those products-Writing acceptance criteria for user stories that contain key information for the development team to do their work-Maintain direct channels of communication with software developers, management, and Product Design to accomplish team goals-Responding to analytic specific issues that are raised by internal and external groups-Identifying and document business trends utilizing real data that will support new features and applications-Holding regular stakeholder/grooming meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress-Documenting user requirements and business rules to be used in application development-Understanding End-To-End test cases at the application and multi-application levels-Working directly with QA Staff to ensure comprehensive testing for all areas and provide input as to how to test new features
